OnAir occupies a pivotal position in the development of harmonized regulatory frameworks governing the in-flight communications industry around the world. These frameworks allow for the seamless operation of GSM services onboard aircraft flying across countries, and we continue to play this leadership role in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Gulf, the Americas and Africa. OnAir’s regulatory successes are founded upon well established relationships with telecommunications regulatory authorities and institutions, national and regional civil aviation agencies as well as standards organizations worldwide.

The authorisation footprint is expanding rapidly

Regulatory frameworks and least onerous license award conditions enable seamless delivery of OnAir’s services in respect of which to date 77 (seventy seven) countries across Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America have authorized OnAir’s services. This guarantees over 98% regulatory coverage for all aircraft deployed by OnAir’s airline customers.
